New Yorkers are Stressed! 11/10

An article written by the New York Daily News confirms what I have known for the past two years.  New Yorkers are friggen stressed!!!

I must say, I've been living in this city for two years, and it has been very stressful for me.  EVERYTHING is more expensive, even the cereal.  And although I've learned where to find bargains, just things like trekking a half hour downtown to Trader Joe's can be stressful.  Once I'm there, I try to shop in the crowded store, and then I wait in line for at least a half hour before trekking another half hour uptown back to my place to put the groceries away.  Thank god I have doormen, or things would be just that much more stressful.

But seriously, things are really crazy in this city and it takes a toll on EVERYONE.  I've been fighting a horrible stomach virus (or food poisoning) for the past few days, and I am absolutely positive that a lot of it is stress induced.  And I am one of the most chill people ever.

Folks, we need to combat this.  We just had our elections, and a lot of people are counting on government to change things.  Well, we can change some things for ourselves.  Let's try and slow down the rat race and enjoy life as much as possible.  These past few days have taught me a lot, and mainly, that sometimes we have to slow down.  For our own good.

I'll get more on this later though, I need to get back to resting....
